Fatigue is a feeling of tiredness, weariness, or exhaustion. It can be acute (short term) or chronic (long term).

Acute fatigue is the most common type of fatigue. It is often caused by sleep deprivation, prolonged mental or physical activity, or stress.

Chronic fatigue is less common and may be caused by a medical condition such as anemia, arthritis, cancer, chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), depression, fibromyalgia, heart disease, infection, or sleep disorders.

There are many ways to relieve fatigue. Some people find that physical activity helps to increase energy levels. Others find that relaxation techniques such as yoga or meditation can be helpful. In most cases, a combination of these approaches is most effective.

If you are struggling with fatigue, it is important to talk to your doctor. Many conditions that cause fatigue can be treated effectively.
