Men's Health

Men's health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, as experienced by men, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
From a public health perspective, it comprises the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of male-specific conditions and problems. Globally, life expectancy for men is about four years shorter than for women.
In many countries, men have higher rates of mortality from most leading causes of death than women. For example, in the United States, men die at higher rates than women from heart disease, lung cancer, and unintentional injuries.
Other major health concerns for men include prostate cancer and colorectal cancer. Men also experience more mental health problems such as depression and anxiety than women and are more likely to commit suicide. However, men often do not seek help for these problems.
There are many factors that contribute to men's poorer health outcomes. These include social factors such as economic status and cultural beliefs, as well as individual factors such as lifestyle choices and health behaviors.
Men are also more likely to engage in risky behaviors such as smoking and heavy drinking, which can lead to health problems down the line.
Fortunately, there are many things that can be done to improve men's health. Education is key to raising awareness of the importance of maintaining good health. Prevention is also critical, and there are many steps that men can take to reduce their risk of developing health problems.
