After graduating from the esteemed Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Dr. Ingrid Kohlstadt joined the Center for Human Nutrition at its leading institution in public health - The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Her ambition to improve the health and well-being of children and their families across America is deeply rooted in her diverse experiences - encompassing clinical, public health, research, and regulatory roles.
Employing her knowledge as a medical doctor and expertise in clinical, epidemiology, as well as FDA affairs, Dr. Kohlstadt has conducted research centered on the metabolic factors associated with various diseases and conditions impacting multiple therapeutic areas.
Founding a non-profit organization and crafting groundbreaking solutions for the medical publishing industry have both sharpened her leadership capabilities and highlighted her business knowledge.
For two years, Dr. Kohlstadt served at the FDA in the Office of Pediatric Therapeutics and as a Medical Officer in the Office of Commissioner.
She is a double board-certified specialist in Preventive Medicine and Nutrition, and proudly wears the titles of Fellow at both the American College of Preventive Medicine and the American College of Nutrition.
