Dr. Satchin Panda, Ph.D.
Professor at Salk Institute, and successful author of The Circadian Code.
Award-winning professor, Satchin Panda PhD., studies the impact of circadian regulation on behavior, metabolism, and physiology at the world-renowned Salk Institute in La Jolla California.
His research has been instrumental in our understanding of chronobiology and is paving a path for new discoveries about human health.
Through his research, he uncovered that a blue-light sensing cell type in the retina helps to synchronize the human master circadian clock, influencing mood and regulating the synthesis of the sleep hormone melatonin.
Recently, he uncovered the remarkable ability of Time-restricted feeding (TRF) to counter and even reverse metabolic illnesses. This technique involves a daily cycle alternating between periods of fasting and eating.
After completing a successful feasibility study in humans, his lab is now conducting smartphone-based research to measure the degree of circadian disruption among adults.
Dr. Panda is also a successful author of The Circadian Code, which outlines the importance of aligning your body clock with natural day-night cycles to feel more energetic and healthy. His book serves as a comprehensive guide to sleeping better, feeling healthier, and maximizing productivity.
