Dr. Brown directs the Center for Better Bones and the Better Bones Foundation in East Syracuse, New York. She has more than 25 years of experience in clinical nutrition, bone health research, and consulting.

Dr. Brown’s primary research focuses on the role of nutrition in improving bone health in postmenopausal women and other individuals with osteoporosis or osteopenia.

Her research also explores the potential for nutrition to reduce inflammation, enhance immune system function and improve overall well-being.

She lectures nationally and internationally and has authored numerous books and articles on bone health, nutrition, auto-immune diseases, genetics, inflammation, hormonal balance, and longevity.

Dr. Brown is an active member of the American College of Nutrition (ACN), The National Association of Nutrition Professionals (NANP), and the Osteopathic Physicians & Surgeons of Canada (OPSC). She is a board-certified nutrition specialist with a Master's degree in Public Health and a Ph.D. in Medical Anthropology.

Dr. Brown has authored numerous academic and lay articles and several books, including Better Bones, along with the website www.alkalineforlife.com.
