Dr. Shou-Ching Shih Jaminet is a highly accomplished scientist, author, and researcher. She currently serves as Chief Scientist and founder of Angiex Inc., while also directing the Multi-Gene Transcriptional Profiling Core at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) under Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Jaminet is best known for her book Perfect Health Diet: Regain Health and Lose Weight by Eating the Way You Were Meant to Eat which has become an invaluable resource for many individuals seeking improved health outcomes through diet modification.
Shou-Ching has had an eclectic upbringing, being born and raised in Korea with Chinese parents. After completing her undergraduate studies at National Taiwan University in Taipei, she then pursued postgraduate education at the University of Newcastle in Australia before moving to America where she has held esteemed positions working for Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Children’s Hospital Boston, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Jaminet’s research focuses on understanding the molecular basis of disease, particularly cancer and metabolic diseases. Her work has helped to uncover unique mechanisms that govern how various nutrients interact with our genetic makeup and influence human health.
She is a prolific author, having published over 60 peer-reviewed articles in leading scientific journals such as Nature and Science. Dr. Jaminet is also an active member of the American Association for Cancer Research and the American Society for Clinical Nutrition.
