Dr. Dominic D’Agostino is a highly esteemed Associate Professor in the Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, as well as the owner and operator of the Keto Nutrition website.

He has also amassed an impressive 200+ podcast appearances discussing all aspects of metabolic health to date.

As a Research Scientist at the Institute for Human and Machine Cognition (IHMC), he is dedicated to discovering metabolic-based approaches for treating ailments such as CNS oxygen toxicity, epilepsy, neurodegenerative diseases, brain cancer, and metastatic cancer. His laboratory utilizes these findings to develop successful treatments that provide optimal results.

For the past decade and a half, his lab has intensively explored the anticonvulsant and protective properties of ketogenic diets coupled with ketone metabolite supplementation. This approach is potentially beneficial to address metabolic dysregulation-associated issues – in addition to pursuing drugs that rely on metabolism for cancer treatment.

With a keen interest in environmental medicine and safety protocols, he was selected as a crew member of NASA’s Extreme Environment Mission Operation (NEEMO 22). His mission is to help enhance resiliency and physiological security while living in extreme environments.

His research is backed by the Office of Naval Research (ONR), the Department of Defense (DoD), and various private organizations and foundations.
