Wrists are a very fragile joint, and for this reason, they must be protected from many common things that can cause harm to them.

Some of these include: falling on an outstretched arm, participating in contact sports such as hockey, basketball, and other sports that may involve the hands, repetitive use over time such as typing or washing dishes can also cause wrist injuries.

The most common injuries that can cause wrist pain are carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis/golfer's elbow (inflamed tendon), arthritis (osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis), tendonitis, and sprains/fractures.

Generally, these injuries are minor and recover quickly with time, the right support aids, and physical therapy.
